Emma Chinnery
Illustrator and Cartoonist
Hello, I am an illustrator and cartoonist with a main interest in creating comic books and graphic novels. All my work has a narrative entwined as I feel it is a powerful way to express ideas.
In 2010 I completed a 95 page, self-written and drawn fictionalisation of Marilyn Manson’s childhood story, titled “Along Came a Spider”. This year I am working on my next graphic novel “The Children of Rhodesia” a fictionalised tale of two children growing up in a civil war.
I have also used my skills in making comics to create graphic adaptations, my most recent work being H.E. Bates’ “The Goat and the Stars”, as well as a range of other work from book illustration to poster-design. Please visit my website at emmachinnery.com to read my comics and blog.
