Lexi Hayman is an illustrator who loves to draw from everyday life. From the places that surround us to fashion accessories and our sentimental treasures. She collects and displays her possessions, and loves to illustrate her passion for the object of her affection by creating charming and characterful designs. She is materialistic (but in a good way!)
Lexi prefers to work in black and white. A paper based artist with traditional values.
Lexi has been actively promoting her work in the form of fairs, local shops and galleries customizing illustrations into greetings cards, prints, t-shirts, tote bags and paper based tokens. Thereby establishing a small business profile called 'Love Lexi'.
The title 'Love Lexi' was originally born from her years of written correspondence with friends. And the 'sign-off' developed into a business.
Lexi has been commissioned by an eco-friendly fashion company called 'Nancy Dee' - designing two designs for an upcoming t-shirt range. She has also illustrated a 'Singer' sewing machine for a 'Cut & Create your own bag campaign' for a fashion boutique called 'La Di Da' based in Dorset.
Lexi graduated in July 2010 with a 2.1 BA Degree from The London College of Communication, part of The University of the Arts, having studied 'Book Art and Design'.
The Book Art and Design course is designed to develop a creative and innovative approach to 3D graphic arts using the book as the primary medium. It also incorporates illustration, bookbinding, photography and printmaking.
