Scott Dessert
Illustrator
My name is Scott and I have recently been graduated from U.C.A, the University of the Creative art of Maidstone. I am originally from France but moved from Rouen to Canterbury 5 years ago to come and study art. I started with a national diploma in art and design, which led me 2 years later to join the illustration B.A course in Maidstone
My work includes mark making and collage combined with digital processes. I work with found and created elements to try and produce a constantly evolving work. My main influence is my Grandmother Madge Pyle who used to create these giant dark collages, which have been a source of fascination for me since I was a child. Outsider art as well as Dadaism, German Expressionism and Cubism also influence me.
Scott's work is being exhibited as part of our Art Crawl! To see his art come to The Barfly (49 Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1 8AN) between the 18th Aug to 18th Sept.
