Having grown up with computers, it was no surprise that I got my first job at Acorn, the Cambridge-based British computer company. At one time, my work there involved building large sections of a web browser, so I got very familiar with web technologies.
Ever since, in my spare time I do web design and, in particular, the technical site of web site creation. The Comuniart site itself is a derivative of one of my open source projects which Comuniart commissioned. My specialisations are:

The attachments below show some examples of Comuniart's various designs for their sites, along with original creations for my personal web site, RISC OS Open Limited (a complex collection of integrated Ruby On Rails applications with a single-sign on mechanism), Cambridge '99 Rowing Club and Endurance Technology Limited (both running on Website Baker).
Although I'm happy to come up with visual ideas for site design, as some of the examples below, it often works well if a client has some idea of the "look" for the site so I can concentrate on the implementation.
I tend to prefer smaller projects from clients who are not under particularly tight time constraints as the work gets fitted into spare time. Consequently, my commission rates are generally very low but vary on a case-by-case basis. More complex or higher priority projects get charged out at a higher rate.
