A Cambridge based Artist and published children’s book author/Illustrator. Primarily a draftsman and painter, his work is mainly figurative and has narrative and humoristic elements. Working in a variety of mediums from acrylics to print to pen and ink. He is interested in playing with light/shadow and perspective to create a sense of atmosphere and drama within his work. After living in Finland for two years Simon returned to the UK in 2005 to study an MA in Children's Book's, and has since published two books to date. He also exhibits work in solo and group exhibitions regularly.
Previous commissions have included Picture Books, CD covers, information posters, educational /promotional materials, greetings cards, private portrait/caricature commissions and Storyboard/character design. Clients have included Cambridge University, Little Tiger Press, Usborne books, Children’s World Conference, NSAD Alumni magazine, The Doubtful Guest.
