Bubblegum & Fizzypop are two very new artists hitting the scene from the East end of London. Their work alone is very different and lacking a certain something but when they come together to create it becomes like that wonderful marriage of a ham and cheese sandwich cause lets face it alone it's a bit of a dull old world when all you have is some cheese or ham slapped between two pieces of bread but put em together and it becomes a lot more exciting. Their work although digital always has a lot of hidden meaning this inspiration comes from the great Caravaggio using subtle objects such as rotten fruit to represent life or death.
They met back in college in 2006, one was interested in art history and was a bit useless in the digital world, the other was a bit useless at art history but was amazing with digital work so they started thinking on how they could work together to combine the two and add a ton of meaning into the digital world.
Although still very new Fizzypop has exhibited twice before and Bubblegum had his first exhibition last year. The second exhibition they featured in together was one that they hosted themselves, they found the venue, the artists and even helped the charity the WSPA in the process. They hope and plan to make this year important for their art so look out for them and their work wherever you may be!
