Clare Lewis’ photographs consider the threshold or “in-between” place of change between two intermediate states. This Liminal area is characterized by ambiguity, openness, and indeterminacy.
Focusing on particular places and moments in time, this work aims to evoke an experience of the Liminal for the viewer and promote a reflection on the flux and flow of life, its beauty and fragility and the possibility of transcendence.
