'Bearded Ladies'

Recently I've been working on a print series, in response to and surrounding a specific topic. I looked into this idea of how the ideal femininity today is subject to the obsessive nature in which women observe themselves, whilst paradoxically questioning this idea of beauty. The focus of my image making has been, to poke fun at the stereotyping of genders in order to take the pressure off for women, encouraging them to relax a little more about how they look. 

This image laughs at the idea of body hair on women and how it seems that women judge themselves and men judge women who have any kind of hair on their body.

The image is A3 size and is screen printed by me onto a lightweight paper/card. It is a 2 colour separation.
