'Ages Of Womanhood' - Brooch Narrative

As part of a series for my wooden jewellery brand, ’Lady Coppice’, I designed a brooch narrative which is named 'Ages Of Womanhood'. My inspiration came from looking at the pinnacle points in most women's lives as they grow from a girl into a woman and emotions they come across.

'Ages Of Womanhood...

... collection tells the story of a young girl who grows up to be obsessed with her appearance, then to fall in love for it just to fall apart. Feeling broken and upset, she finds herself feeling indignant and pretty hateful towards men'.

Each brooch measures 7cm in height and its width is 5.5cm. The depth is 4mm and they are all made from American Cherry wood, which, after the image and details have been applied by the laser cutter, I have sanded down and applied a coat of boiled linseed oil for it's protection against dirty marks and finger prints.
