Call for Artworks

Do you make art on an environmental theme?


We are looking for artists to exhibit in the Redmond Community Centre for this year’s Climate Week; 3rd to the 9th March. We are looking for artworks which explore the idea of climate, the ways in which people connect to nature, and what the environment means to people – however you may interpret this!


The Redmond Community Centre is situated on the Woodberry Down estate, and is a central hub for activities, workshops, training sessions and more for the local residents. The Centre will be hosting monthly Comuniart exhibitions, showcasing the talent of local residents. We are launching our first exhibition to coincide with a week of fun, environmental activities and events for Climate Week.


We are looking for submissions of work around a climate theme (or an environmental theme more generally) from artists living in the local area (within a 2 mile radius of the Community centre at N4 2HF).


Work in any medium is accepted. The maximum size for pieces is 2m by 2m. works could include, but are not limited to: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital works, textile design, forms of craft; but we can also accommodate music, art-workshops, comedy, poetry, performance…


Please send up to 5 images or recordings of your work (individual pictures no bigger than 1MB) along with prices and a short artist statement and CV (including your postcode) by midday Monday February 17th

It is free to exhibit works, and the Comuniart terms and conditions for commission apply.


We will inform successful applicants by Wednesday 19th February and the deadline for delivering the works to the centre is Wednesday 26th February.
